The Training and Placement Cell at Sengunthar Arts and Science College plays a crucial role in shaping students’ career paths by providing them with valuable opportunities for skill enhancement, industry exposure, and placement support. The cell serves as a bridge between academia and industry, preparing students for successful careers.
Key Achievements
Successful Placements: In the recent academic year, the cell successfully placed 357 students across 17 different companies. This accomplishment highlights the cell's effectiveness in preparing students for the competitive job market.
Partnership with Redington Elite Smart Learning Centre
In a collaborative effort to enhance students' industry-readiness, Sengunthar Arts and Science College has partnered with the Redington Elite Smart Learning Centre. This partnership focuses on providing comprehensive training programs to equip students with the essential skills demanded by the corporate world.
- Inauguration: The Smart Learning Centre was inaugurated by Mrs. Indira Kannan, marking the beginning of this impactful collaboration. 180 students participated in the inaugural training session.
- Ongoing Training: After completing the program for final-year students, the training was extended to second-year students as well. The centre provides cutting-edge resources such as digital classrooms and a language lab to support student learning. Over 210 students have benefitted from these sessions.
- Online Classes: To reach students beyond the campus, the Smart Learning Centre offers online classes facilitated by experts from New Delhi, making learning more accessible.
Additional Training Programs
To ensure holistic development, the Training and Placement Cell also organizes specialized training sessions such as:
- Yoga Program: In collaboration with the Art of Living organization, a five-day yoga program was conducted to promote the physical and mental well-being of students.
- Valedictory Session: During the program’s conclusion, Mr. Ramalingam, the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) of Tiruchengode, presented certificates to participants, reinforcing the importance of holistic personal development.
